Goodbye, BaSo.

Breaking news! Our time in Forestville is coming to a (temporary) end… We’ve just been told that our last day at the Annex must be this Sunday, March 22nd. Obviously, this is coming up soon, very soon, and leaves little time for a good goodbye.

In light of this, we will be rapidfire-changing our current menu to a come-as-you-are party menu, reminiscent of our last Lunar New Year together and with a few BaSo favorites sprinkled in.

So this weekend, instead of our usual lunch and dinner, we will be open ALL day with a little feast waiting inside. There's a lot of food left to cook, and we would consider ourselves in debt if you helped us make it all disappear.

If we had things our way, we’d be around here for much longer, but even so, let’s do our best to squeeze in a few months’ worth of laughs, hugs, and wishes in these last days!

Thank you so much for welcoming this little restaurant called BaSo into your town and for being with us every step of the way. It truly has been and will continue to be one of the best adventures of our lives! Through the triumphs and tragedies both big and small, you helped us create something that we all truly believe in.

BaSo could’ve been a place that just cooked food, tired, boring and cynical — but you helped us make it so much more than that. And we could not be more humbled and more proud of everything we were able to do in so short a time!

It’s goodbye for now, but it needn’t be for too long.

BaSo will return! Stronger, wiser, with more ideas, bigger perspectives, and hopefully better-rested complexions. ;)

Till then, Chefs, your prep list is to:

1) eat lots of good food,

2) travel somewhere new,

3) make amazing memories,

4) have some cool stories to tell us when we come back!
